Pastor James and Dr. Van Campbell train pastors

Perhaps the greatest single need in the Christian church worldwide is for trained leaders to shepherd the growing number of people coming to vital Christian faith. This need is especially acute in countries where many pastors cannot afford formal education.

EFI’s pastoral training ministry has four components.

1. EFI sponsors annual pastor training conferences led by Dr. George Van Campbell, a Grove City College professor and author with 19 years of pastoral experience. These conferences feature one-week courses that are both practical and theologically sound.
2. We are publishing Dr. Campbell’s books in India and offering them at a price that most local pastors can afford – about a dollar each. The first book, “Biblical Foundations for Christian Leaders,” surveys major Bible themes, church functioning and Bible study techniques. Two other books are planned for publication soon.
3. Pastor James Pandian conducts one-day pastor training programs in cities in India, Malaysia, and Singapore. These programs use material from Dr. Campbell’s books and practical applications from Pastor James’ ministry experience.
4. We plan to make more extensive training available soon through the Internet and mp3 lending libraries in major cities throughout India.
